In Adobe natively it is Lumetri Color and in FCPX you can choose a custom LUT effect. These LUTs were created to be used with any coloring software that allows you to choose a custom LUT. These LUTs work for both GoPro and Flat color profiles however if you like/dislike the saturation just move the slider to your desire. I shoot all my footage in “FLAT” color meaning the raw clip looks less saturated. The LUTs themselves do not have any decreased or increased saturation. You will 90% of the time be able to find the look you want by adjusting this slider.
First try adjusting the exposure of the clip. In Adobe Lumetri Color you would adjust the intensity slider. If the selected LUT your applying looks too intense you can use “Mix” in FCPX to lower or strengthen the intensity. Choose your selected LUT and you’re good to go.
